LKM invests in a High-Tech Material Recovery Facility – Doors are open for companies to tip!

One of the UK’s leading providers of waste management & recycling services LKM Recycling in Sittingbourne is has invested in a new high-performance Material Recover Facility (MRF) which enables the company to recycle almost 100% of the dry recycling waste received efficiently & avoid landfill. The company is now actively inviting current & new customers to tip at the facility on Bonham Drive in Sittingbourne.

The MRF & waste transfer yard will employ additional people allowing the site to become substantially more productive. LKM are working with Kiverco from Ireland who produce one of the best pieces of kit for sorting dry recycling on the market.

The MRF will enable waste to be sorted into key materials which can then be sold on to partners who can recycle these materials in their processes. LKM also have adjacent facilities to further process to suit customer requirements in areas such as paper & card, metals & plastics. In addition to the MRF, the yard contains a weighbridge, the ability to handle skips, & offers a competitively priced tipping option for all sizes of business enabling LKM to offer an alternative for companies looking for a local waste transfer facility. The site takes a range of payments from trade accounts to credit/ debit cards. Since LKM can offer a competitive rate on tipping commercial dry waste, it will lighten the load on local authority tips & will also support Kent County Council in reducing fly tipping.
