LKM is on of the UK’s leading Total Waste Management Solutions Companies. We process waste material from our customers to produce raw materials to be used in other manufacturing processes. LKM help their customers recycle Wood, Paper, UPVC, Metal and cars. We also offer confidential and other shredding services.
DESCRIPTION OF VACANCY
This is a varied and busy role; the applicant will assist in all areas of business administration but will be based in finance. Duties will include answering the phones, filing, sending emails, compiling basic spreadsheets and processing invoices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to)
- Processing purchase ledger emails and post
- Contact suppliers and customers to confirm details
- Filing
- Answering phones
- General office duties
- Invoice matching and referencing
- Opening of new accounts on finance system
- Sales invoicing
- Credit control phones calls
- Outturn and Sales ledger email processing
WAGE
£3.70 per hour
£129.50
HOURS
9 to 5, Monday to Friday. With 1 hour lunch (unpaid) and day release to study (paid)

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A* – C Maths and English GCSE
TRAINING PROVIDED
On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework – consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level, Technical Certificate and Functional Skills if appropriate.
Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
ADDITIONAL DETAIL
As of 1st April 2018, the NMW for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16 – 18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The employer has asked that you do not contact them direct. Doing so could jeopardise your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work on a daily basis whilst waiting for your first wages to be paid.
