Established close to 40 years ago by owner Gary Eastwood, LKM has retained its ‘family business’ working ethos, despite becoming one of the largest and most sought after materials recycling companies in the country.
Gary’s passion for recycling began in his early teens when he became fascinated with the workings of Kent’s numerous scrap dealers and yards. As soon as he was able, Gary started working weekends for local scrap merchants, saving up money and unwanted scrap until a small inheritance allowed him to start up his own business. Excelling at the job, Gary built up LKM into a sizable concern, surviving the crushing recession of the 1980s and emerging stronger than ever, as Kent’s largest waste management and recycling business.
Gary’s philosophy combines a dedication to providing outstanding service with a determination to remain forthright and upfront with all our clients.
